Most projects take 2 days — bathtubs, tile, countertops, and cabinets are typically completed over a two-day process and are fully cured and ready to use within 24 to 48 hours after the final coat. Epoxy floor coatings usually take one day to install and 24 hours before foot traffic, with full vehicle cure in about 3–5 days.
How to Clean & Protect Your Refinished Surfaces
Proper care keeps your refinished tub, countertop, and epoxy floor glossy and durable for 10–15+ years. Follow these simple do's and don'ts.
Do This
- Use a soft cloth, sponge, or non-abrasive microfiber for daily cleaning
- Clean with mild soap and warm water, or a non-abrasive cleaner like Soft Scrub (gel, not powder)
- Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry to prevent water spots and soap scum buildup
- For epoxy floors, use a soft-bristle broom or microfiber mop with a pH-neutral cleaner
- Wipe spills promptly to keep surfaces pristine
- Use a squeegee on shower walls after each use to extend the finish life
Avoid This
- No suction-cup bath mats — they trap moisture, damage the finish, and void your warranty
- No abrasive powders, scouring pads, steel wool, or pumice stones
- No bleach, ammonia, or acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon, toilet bowl cleaners)
- No drain chemicals poured directly onto a refinished tub surface
- No wax or silicone polishes on refinished tubs or epoxy floors
- No dragging heavy or sharp objects across epoxy flooring — use furniture pads
Tubs & Tile
Wait 24–48 hours before first use. Use only liquid, non-abrasive cleaners. Remove bath mats after each shower so the surface can dry fully.
Countertops
Use a cutting board — never cut directly on the finish. Wipe spills promptly and clean with mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid placing hot pans directly on the surface.
Epoxy Floors
Sweep or microfiber-mop regularly with a pH-neutral cleaner. Use furniture pads under heavy items and wipe up oil or chemical spills quickly to protect the coating.
Curing Time Matters
Your refinished surface is dry to the touch within hours, but the coating continues to cure for up to 30 days. Avoid heavy use, harsh chemicals, and standing water during the first week for the strongest, longest-lasting finish.
Prorated Warranty — What's Covered
Our refinishing work is backed by a written prorated warranty. Please review the key terms below — some damage is excluded from coverage.
- Warranty is prorated — coverage decreases over the warranty period
- Chips, cracks, and impact damage are not covered
- No warranty on caulk — caulking is a maintenance item, not a warranted surface
- Surface must be kept clean regularly — neglect and buildup will void the warranty
- Suction-cup bath mats will void the warranty
- Failure to follow cleaning instructions may void the warranty
Damaged by Abrasives & Acids
Abrasive powders, scouring pads, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners will dull or etch the finish and void your warranty. When in doubt, stick to mild soap and warm water.
